I have been looking for street legal kits and cannot find anything that doesn't include turn signals and horn and isn't 100+ Anyone know of any local bike shops that carry the Street legal kits?
Thank you

Make your own kit. Not all that difficult. Buy a horn for $5, a switch, a headlight/tail light combo (you can even by one for a bicycle) and you're good. What type of vehicle is it? If you were on the east side I'd say go to the Motorcycle Acessories Shop in Mesa, but that might be a long drive for you. Check wally world...

Thank you
if you quad came with a tail light stock...look at it as it may have another wire to run the brake light. if so all you need is the switch. and obviosly plate and stickers and insurance. technically the big fines are for
-no reg.
-no licence
-no ins.
so if you have those 3 all of the equipment is ticket to repair....like a broken windshield or blinker out on a car.
i still havent bought a horn.

ok lets see if I can get this straight.
Even though the Quad has a brake light I have to hook up another one? Or just the license plate with a light?
Thanks

i didnt realize it had stock brake lights. supposed to have plate light too but if you are riding during the day i wouldnt worry about it. and if your plate is illuminated by the tail light....maybe that would work.

So all I need really is a mirror and something to mount the license plate under the brake light?

to my knowledge yes. i would ask at the mvd when you get to road registration.
my bike has
-headlight
-brake/tail/plate light
-mirror
-mc not rv plate with 2 stickers. (on a quad the may have you keep the rv plate.)
-insurance
-and i have a mc permit that i have to carry along with my dl(mc permit may not be necessary with quad....ask dmv. test cost like $7 and is 25 computerized multiple choice, i can also tell you thati would study. there are some questions that you have to read the book to know the answer.)
in the forrest you should also have a usfs approved spark arrester. the chances of seeing somebody will be slim but if any sherriff/ or G & F up there sees this group they will probably check most of us.
and ill add.....we are doing a 75-100 mile ride sunday....will involve some pavement but 95% dirt. if you go legal you may as well use it.

I have two 300EX quads fully street legal.
tail/brake light
horn (meep meep)
mirror
plate holder
My RZR is street legal as well. I think all they had to add was horn (meep meep) and the mirror (which is actually very handy on the RZR) which were both added when I bought and rolled in to price. I have insurance for all (~$200/ year for all 3).
Didnt need MC license for quad or RZR.
Again, like Jon said, I ride in payson and most of the trail are very close to my place so I dont trailer up there, I ride to the trails on streets.
