Disposing of a camper
The wife and i went up to the rim last weekend to check on all of our stuff and when we arrived we realized that our 24 ft camper was a total loss.So the question is, where can i dispose of this thing? Can i get some dough for the axles and title? I have no idea where to start so any advice would be good advice.

if you can salvage any thing from it I'd bet someone on Craigslist would bite but you would have to bring it down , stuff like refer, AC units , heaters steps,Stab Jacks but you would have to remove all the stuff and then bring them down to sell ,and then list the trailer for free and someone will come take it off your property, good luck

What happened to it? A total loss? Did it burn?
I might buy the axles. I have a 19 foot trailer that needs a set.

Arizona RV Salvage might take it. Don't know what they would give you for it.

Re: Disposing of a camper
Might make a good flatbed if the frame and axles are in good shape.

Hey Chris what happened to it? I think your camper is the same year and model as mine, is there anything salvagable it it? I need fender skirts.
I had a pop-up trailer that was in the same situation and a salvage yard was eager to get it to make a flatbed trailer from the frame.

Just blast it full of holes and leave your brass laying around...J/K. My buddy turned his into a heavy duty flatbed by simply removing the top and saving the under carrige. Beats leaving it at the curb!

Well, as I said, I need a set of axles. Are you planning on bringing back down here?

I think the first step is to get it here. I know a guy that may buy it from you as is. He has been talking about building a cargo trailer with RV amenities. This would be a great start.

This thread is very interesting. I have an old 22 foot trailer parked on my land up south of prescott. A tree fell on it and water got inside. It is pretty bad but the frame and single axle should be good for something. It has the old thick aluminum siding on it, might be worth something for scrap. It will take a 4 wheel drive pickup to pull it up the driveway and out of there. It takes 2 ford pickup 15 inch wheels and doesn't have any on it.
I don't have any thing to pull it with and I don't have any place to put it.
If some one has a 4wd pickup and some place to put it they can have the trailer for hauling it away.
If interested, email me at rlbranson@cox.net.
